murph&murph is an Australian brand started by two sisters who originally designed and manufactured what is the ultimate LARGE neverfull bag, The murph&murph Cove Carry-all.

They set out designing a bag they believed would be perfect for their own active families. Something stylish, robust and practical that could get their gear to and from the beach, boat, picnics, swimming lessons, sports and other social activities.

The bag needed to be constructed with materials that allowed for a free standing structure, was water resistant and durable but still comfortable to hold against skin.

They also wanted secure pockets for keys and devices, an insulated pocket for a water bottle, and although it needed to be durable, it still had to look good enough to take from the beach to the bar,

They then came up with the innovative idea of making picnic blankets out of NEOPRENE to which they have added amazing natural images.

The idea was conceived when the Anna and Cath realised how nice it was to stand on the kid’s wetsuits when the sand was too hot, or to get the kids changed off the sand. They were already thinking of developing a picnic blanket so using this robust, yet amazingly comfortable material seemed a perfect fit.

They describe their blankets as a totally different experience to a regular picnic blanket. The cushioning is rubber as opposed to foam. So, it’s much more comfortable to sit on and repels water (waterproof) instead of absorbing it. They pick up very little in the way of sticks, leaves and sand, they stay in situ and can be hosed down at the end of a busy day.

Through need and a creative bent they then designed and manufactured The Cove Traveller and The Cove Mini as the ultimate smaller companions on required journey’s.  These have been released to rave reviews.

The time the girls spent on the design, prototypes and redesign, is now paying off. As a testament to their products, 90% of their sales are through positive word of mouth.

After having visited India, the girls decided to support New Hope, a charity focused on children’s welfare and those chastised by society within India. They also support Youth Focus and many other local charities.
